Mock inspections will be offered in an effort to improve CSA scores

Effective immediately, FedEx Ground will begin offering mock CSA inspections, predominantly at hubs and auto stations. The mock inspections will cover typical items checked during a Level 2 Roadside Inspection that would impact FedEx Ground’s Driver Fitness or HOS Basic score.

As Pat McCoy and Kim Whigham previously stated, FedEx Ground’s CSA violations are adding up, subjecting all FedEx Ground-branded trucks to more frequent roadside inspections. This not only negatively impacts FedEx Ground, but also it impacts the businesses contracting with FedEx Ground to provide services. It is imperative that drivers assigned to provide services under an agreement with FedEx Ground are prepared for a roadside inspection.

FedEx Ground appreciates everything service provider businesses do to keep roadways safe and CSA scores below threshold.
